NERS Project Manager
Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Project Manager to head up the NERS side of the business. You will be responsible for client projects from quotation through to delivery. Proactively managing relationships with our customer base, and winning new business, your role helps ensure the growth of the business by securing repeat business and encouraging the promotion of our company.
You will be based out of our head office in Tewkesbury, but may be required to travel to various sites throughout the UK.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Quoting on all NERS enquiries approved by the Director
- Following up the quotations and dealing with any queries
- Applying to DNO’s for Point of Connection and liaising with DNO during the project.
- Processing the quote
- Creating the project file and ensuring job pack is complete
- Book section 50 notices and liaise with Local Authorities throughout projects
- Attend site meetings and issuing variation notices where necessary
- Dealing with queries/ issues as they arise and implementing best resolution
- Ensuring the project is completed to timescale and budget
- Close-down project and ensure all DNO paperwork is returned
- Assisting the Finance Manager on all projects to ensure everything is invoiced
- Regulatory compliance, keeping up-to-date with industry regulations and requirements and communication, where necessary
- Write and deliver ToolBox talks
Essential Skills
- Hold a full & valid UK Driving Licence
- Experience of project management within the industry
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
- To work proactively under your own initiative
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- To be able to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers
- Understanding of working around, and with, electricity in accordance with health and safety precaution
- Experience of leading teams and/or coordinating the work of others
- Excellent customer service skills
- Results driven
- Excellent organisational, communication and planning skills
- Strong IT skills
This is a full-time role, the hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary Range: £30,000.00 – £44,000.00 per annum
Street Lighting Electrician
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Street Lighting Electrician to carry out the installation and maintenance of street lighting furniture. You will be based out of our head office located in Tewkesbury, but work is on various sites located throughout the UK.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Installation of street furniture including Lanterns, Lantern Conversions, Street Lights, Signage, and Isolators
- SWA Terminations and SWA Jointing
- Electrical Testing and Inspection of Street Furniture including completing of Electrical Test and Inspection Certificates
- Rectifying remedial issues to ensure successful Adoption for the Local Authority
- Working safely and following health and safety guidelines
- Carry out risk assessments to identify hazards you may come across on site and to implement control measures to reduce risk
Essential Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to read and understand utility plans
Experience & Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Electrical Certification
- BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- IPAF Type (1b)
- Initial and Periodic Electrical Test & Inspection Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- G39/1 Certificate
- ECS Certificate
- HEA Approved
- Temporary Traffic Management Certificate for Urban & Rural Roads
- A Full and Clean Driving Licence up to 7.5 tonne
This is a full time role, the hours of work are Monday – Friday, 06:30 – 16:30.
Your normal hours of work will be varied to meet the needs of the Company. You will be expected to work some early start and late finish times.
Job Type: Full-time
Wage: £120.00 – £150.00 per day
